Music has the power to transform, revealing new beauty when heard through a different voice. In Songs Reborn, Dallas Symphony Orchestra trombonist Brian Hecht and pianist Michael Schneider explore the extraordinary expressive range of the trombone through a program of reinvention and discovery.

From a deeply moving set of variations on Dona Nobis Pacem, to beloved country ballads reimagined from their original settings, to Hindemith’s masterful Symphonic Metamorphosis in a brilliant new arrangement, familiar melodies emerge in unexpected ways. This captivating recital celebrates the timeless connection between melody, memory, and transformation, revealing the trombone as an instrument of remarkable warmth, power, and beauty.
