About the Artist:
Solomon Ge is a pianist and composer from San Jose, CA. He currently studies piano with Ms. Haesun Paik and Mr. Alessio Bax at the New England Conservatory of Music and formerly studied with Prof. Yoshikazu Nagai at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has won First Prize at the 2022 PianoArts North American Competition, 2021 Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition and the 2021 Ann & Charles Eisemann International Young Artists Competition. He has also won top prizes in numerous local to international competitions including the International e-piano Junior Competition, RossMcKee Piano Competition and Mondavi Young
Artists Competition.
As an active soloist, he has performed more than a dozen times with orchestras, such as the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Richardson Symphony Orchestra, South Carolina Philharmonic, and Peninsula Symphony. In the summer of 2022, he joined the San Jose Youth Symphony on tour to the Baltic countries and Finland.
He has participated in the Amalfi Coast Music and Arts Festival, International Maestro Piano Festival in Taipei, Southeastern Piano Festival, and Texas State International Piano Festival, performing in masterclasses for Jerome Lowenthal, Maria João Pires, Garrick Ohlsson, Dang Thai Son and John Perry, among others.
He is grateful to have received the Patrick Price Award at the 2022 Texas State International Piano Festival, which gave him the wonderful opportunity to perform at Blanco Performing Arts.
