2022-2023 CONCERTS
Welcome to Season 13 | from BPA Co-Founder and Artistic Advisor Julia Pautz
Fresh air invigorates us, makes us feel alive, and carries new scents to inspire our senses. With Season 13 we hope you feel the fresh air with our programming and performers. In September you will feel the freshness as my quartet, Artonic, travels to the ballroom with a program of exhilarating and fleet-footed Beethoven, tangos from Tijuana to get the blood pumping, and a new take on a Beatles tune. In November we continue more literally with the "air" of Ilya Shterenberg, Principal Clarinet formerly of the San Antonio Symphony performing Shepherd on the Rock, Schubert's breathtakingly beautiful song for soprano, clarinet, and piano - a special favorite of our director Vickie Pautz. In April we welcome a new year with a performance by one of the most renowned flutists of the Millennial Generation, Sonora Slocum, Principal Flute of the Milwaukee Symphony in a recital with pianist John Wilson who certainly impressed in his appearance last season. Concluding the regular season we are thrilled to present classical guitarist Paul Galbraith, a brilliant innovator and one of the finest classical guitarists active today. With the help of the eight-string “Brahms Guitar”, an instrument he developed together with David Rubio, he has expanded both the limits of the instrument and the quality and breadth of its repertoire. As a special treat season ticket holders will receive guaranteed seating when the Air Force Band of the West "Freedom Brass" perform a free outdoor concert at the courtyard in June.

We invite you to join us in our newest endeavor, the Inner Circle. This group offers expanded opportunities to support the mission of bringing great music to Blanco County, and enhanced artist interactions for our donors in the form of reserved VIP seating, invitations to special events and even reserved parking. Inner Circle membership, season tickets, and individual tickets are all available now.
We encourage you to check out our Young Artist Recital, an event BPA hosts yearly to showcase a winner of the Texas State International Piano Competition. This year's performer, Solomon Ge, will travel from Boston to perform at The Ballroom, and has been wowing juries at competitions worldwide. Tickets to this event start at $5.

Experience the genius of Paul Galbraith
At Blanco Performing Arts we love to introduce our audience to world class artists, and introduce world renowned musicians to Blanco.
It seemed as if the group were in our own home giving us our own special treat.
We were given a stop in time, one of those rare occasions in life when most of the audience were spell bound by the performance."
